Dr Nzimande serves ....... portfolio on the SCCCI.  He is the CEO of Esayidi FET College, which has 5 main campuses and 7 community development centres, stretching from Ixopo in the North, to Port Edward in the South and inland to Umzimkhulu. 

“My observation of the community in this region tells me that the general belief about the College is that it can only deliver formal equipping of skills.  Also, that the College is far removed from the realities which affect the area.  In fact, very little is done by centres of governance to integrate the College’s capacity into the strategies meant to develop the area and its communities.

My recent association with SCCCI has made me see the significance of the College in this association.  Only if the translation of that combination could be made tangible for the community.  For an example, I foresee this partnership lucrative presently the College were to be involved in driving and equipping small business with skills of survival in this period affected by economic contradiction.  This reality is that some business can survive from advisory support emanating from both the College and SCCCI’s effort to provide relevant business management support skills.”
