The Student Support Services was established to assist students with the following:

• Provide advice and counselling with regard to personal, substance abuse and academic related matters.
• Identify and assist financial needy students
• Organise extra mural activities
• Also handle all the students’ general queries and concerns
• Analyse students needs and provide support accordingly
• Suggest and provide academic support where necessary

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTEE

The Student Representative Counsel has strived for excellence this passed year and we have achieved this goal.  We have learnt to work in unison which is vital to our future in the business world.  We have also learnt to be more responsible since we held meetings every week to discuss matters to better the college and the relationship between students and lecturers.

ACTIVITIES

The SRC /L RC is responsible for:

• Organising a Tech dance,

• A memorial service when a student has passed away (with the help of a Student support Officer),

• Usher guests when there are functions at the college

• If there are grievances or concerns from the students they report these matters to the LRC liaison officers, HODs or to the Student Support Officer

• They are sent to camps for team building or leadership skills and when they come back they have to write a report and address the fellow students on the skills they have acquire .

• They liaise with other LRC members from other colleges/campuses

• The president has to attend staff meetings

• Have to be part of the team that draws or revises the college, admission and LRC policies
